Last weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Ludwig visited!

We all decided to go somewhere I could go, since not all human places let dogs in. (Their loss.) So we went to Will Rogers State Historic Park!

We walked and walked. And I barked at horses. And then we walked more. I had such an awesome time, I didn't even make them feel too guilty when they left me at home for dinner.

Nana and Papa got me a new bed!

I love it, love it, love it. It's my favorite new thing. I spend almost the entire day sleeping on it. I was having a great nap until mom ruined it by pointing her camera at me.

The bed is in the office right now, but I'm going to ask mom to put it in the sunbeam. Then life would be perfect.

Mom and I went to Palm Springs for a couple of days and visited Nana and Papa!

We did a lot of hanging out, walking on golf courses, and marking a giant tree that fell down.

I missed dad, though, because he had to work. But Nana said we would all do it again sometime!

So like I said in my last post, we moved!

The best thing about moving out of the old place is that there were pillows, blankets, coats and other soft things laying all over the floor for me to lay on.

The best thing about moving into the new place is the balcony! And the sunbeams! I spend all day sitting in the sun until I can't stand it anymore.

Oh my gosh, guys, we live in a new home!

All of a sudden, mom and dad just started taking all of our stuff away and putting it somewhere else. I was pretty nervous that I was never going to see my couch or beds again.

So I was really happy when I was reunited with everything, even though nothing seems to be in the right place. Mom and dad were afraid I wouldn't like our new home, but I love it. I already played with my new neighbor, Lucky, and ate her food and stole her bone.

I was so excited when mom and dad said we were going for a car ride!

We ended up going to the beach in Ventura where I got to prance around the boardwalk and run around on the lawn.

Then we went to Ojai to visit dad's favorite bookstore and an ice cream shop. The ice cream shop was kind of a bummer because everyone got to eat ice cream but me. But it was still fun!

We went on another adventure to the beach! Sometimes mom and dad take me there for my morning walk. It's fun because I've walked around our neighborhood about a thousand times. It's nice to see new things.

Happy New Year everyone! I'm taking this day to enjoy the warm sunshine at home in Los Angeles.

Mom and dad suggested I make a couple of New Year's resolutions this year:

1) To not play too hard when my leg is sore.

2) To not eat things I shouldn't eat.

I don't know what New Year's resolutions are, but they don't sound like any fun. I think I may just keep doing what I do. (Don't tell mom and dad.)

Well, Christmas weekend was a success!

It started out with a lot of napping. Then I opened awesome presents from mom & dad, my friend Crystal, and my other friends Jennifer & Andrew. Then we went on a little adventure to the beach. And it concluded with more napping.

I just got back from Arizona where me, mom, and dad spent Thanksgiving with Nana, Papa, and Auntie Lisa!

I didn't even know we were doing anything special until I was put in the car with all my toys and blankets!

Thanksgiving was awesome. I got Nana to sneak me lots of food, played with my new toy, spent time on everyone's lap, and napped a lot. What more could I ever want?

Yesterday, we finally went on a new adventure! We drove a long way to an apple orchard to pick our own apples. I thought mom and dad were quite aware that we can walk to Trader Joe's to pick apples, but maybe they forgot...

But I'm glad they did because it was awesome! I walked all over the place until I was totally exhausted. I met a little dog who lives on the orchard. And we stopped by the beach so I could stretch my legs out. Now I'm going to nap all day today.

Mom and dad went to Michigan, a new place I've never heard of before. Somebody got married, so they were away for the weekend.

They didn't want to leave me all alone, though, so Nana came and took care of me!

I took lots of naps while she read her books. We went on lots of walks and (don't tell mom and dad) she gave me lots of treats. She also helped me make a craft project for mom's last day at work.

Mom just had her last day at the "Conan" show. It's the place that she would go to everyday instead of hanging out with me. So now she'll be home all the time!

Well, we have not gone on any adventures for an entire week!

I just got back from the vet to get pictures taken of my bones. It turns out that I have arthritic hips. It's kind of embarrassing for a vibrant, cool young man like myself.

What sounds a little tougher and cooler, though, is that the screws in my old broken leg are starting to loosen, too. I'm not bragging, but yeah, I have screws in my leg.

So the vet told mom and dad to take me to a place where they can give me special exercises to do. I think I overheard they have a swimming pool they might put me in. I am not cool with that.

Since I can't jump up on the bed to nap on laundry, dad cheered me up by putting a warm towel on my bed.

OUTDOOR CINEMA FOOD FEST

Over the weekend, mom and dad took me to the Outdoor Cinema Food Fest!

We went to see our friend Andrew's band, State to State. They were awesome! I felt really cool when I got to talk to them afterwards in their private tent and meet all their cool friends.

The other awesome thing was that there was tons and tons and tons and tons of food around. After staring at a human eating his steak sandwich for about five minutes, he finally gave me a bite. It was the best.

Today, mom and dad took me to the Venice Canals! There are lots of canals that make it look like a different city called Venice in a different country called Italy. But these canals were really close to our apartment in Los Angeles.

Mom and dad got a little crazy when I almost jumped off the bridge into the water. But dad caught me just in time!

We got to look at lots of pretty houses and cool boats. Sometimes, people would look at us looking at their house and boat. Then we went to the Venice Library, where I saw big birds called ducks!

Today was the Great Pug Walk of 2011 in Beverly Hills. I got to meet a ton of my pug half-cousins! I'm pretty proud to say I was the tallest dog there. But I was kind of jealous of the really fat ones. Their humans must give them food whenever they want, unlike mine...

Mom took pictures of me and dad while we waited to go on our walk. But then she didn't take any of the actual walk because she said "it was chaos." I told her it would look like I was making this whole "Great Walk" thing up! But you do get to see one of the new friends I made.

This weekend, mom and dad took me to my very first baseball game! We got to go to Dodger Stadium and see about a million other humans and dogs.

Apparently, dogs aren't usually allowed to go to baseball games. That seems very discriminatory to me, but it's another one of those strange human rules. There is only one day in the entire year where dogs can go...so we went!

Mom didn't even watch the game. She was just taking pictures with her silly new iPhone. I didn't really watch the game, either. I was watching dad's lap for fallen popcorn.

We had an awesome time chasing tennis balls, running around in the dirt, getting our face petted, and lounging in the shade. We played so hard that I was in a coma for the rest of the day. I can't wait to do it again!

Sorry, guys, I was hoping to post photos of my big trip a few days ago. But mom said she took all of the pictures on a film camera. And film has to be developed and stuff. I don't understand why anyone would do that when we have real cameras.

But whatever, the pictures are back! I had an awesome time in the desert! We slept in a trailer in a town called Joshua Tree, and I got to run around all over the place.

Then we went to a placed called Pioneertown, where we got to pretend we were cowboys. Mom and dad kept making me drink water, and dad wouldn't let me walk near the bushes. They were acting crazy. But it was still fun!

I've been playing with my brand new duck toy for a week now, and I'm ready to post my review.

I must admit that it took me a couple of days to get into it, as it's made of a different fabric than my beloved sherpa. Now that I've given it some more time, though, I can see that it's totally awesome!

I like tossing it all around my living room when I get excited about going for a walk. And when I hear Kimo outside, I will slam it on the floor in a rage. And when dad is bored of doing work, he will play tug of war with me.

SAD THINGS IN JAPAN

Mom told me about the earthquake that happened in another place called Japan. It made me very sad.

It's scary to think that there are lots of dogs just like me that got injured, or lost their humans during all of the commotion.

I was so upset that I couldn't even enjoy a nap, but I discovered a group called World Vets that helps animals all over the place. They sent some nice vets to Japan to help the animals there. But they need money to help them keep doing their vet work. Maybe someone out there would consider donating some money to them?

I know that if there was an earthquake here in Los Angeles, and I got injured or couldn't find my mom and dad, I would hope someone would help out.

For Christmas, Aunt Lisa gave me an organic dog biscuit cookbook. Well, it took long enough, but mom finally made me something!

It was called a "Tuna Melt" and was filled with delicious tuna and cheese. Mom said she didn't have any cookie cutters that weren't Christmas themed, so she just made them square with a Papa Murphy's pizza cutter. Don't tell mom, but I really couldn't care less what shape they were in.

When they came out of the oven, I was so excited, I had a hard time sitting still. When I finally got to try them, they were awesome!

WILL ROGERS STATE PARK

Mom and dad finally took me on an adventure! It's been a while, but we all decided to go for a hike at Will Rogers State Park.

It was amazing. As soon as we got there, I got to chase a lizard around and around in circles.

Then mom and dad ate lunch at the picnic tables, but didn't share anything with me. So that wasn't as fun. But then we finally went hiking! I got to smell about a hundred new trees.

The coolest part was when we met a big rattlesnake! Mom and dad didn't get a picture because they were too busy flipping out when I tried to eat it. They just scooped me up and walked away very quickly. I don't think they know what the cool stuff is.

NEW MORNING ROUTINE

I get sad when mom leaves for work. So dad cheers me up by putting my favorite blanket on his lap. Then I can cuddle with him while he drinks his coffee.

Sorry I haven't posted much recently. Mom and dad have been busy with human things, so we haven't gone on any adventures lately. Plus, they help me with the typing. Much to my chagrin, computer keyboards were made with fingers in mind - not paws.

So I entertained myself today with an old standby - my favorite plush chicken!

MOM'S OFFICE

Today, mom took me to her office! This was my very first time and I love going to new places.

She works on a TV show for a human named Conan. I got to sit on the spot where Conan tells jokes.

Then we took a walk around the movie lot. I saw where they tape a different TV show called "The Big Bang Theory."

And I got to sit in front of a big courthouse. Mom told me it wasn't a real courthouse - it was supposed to look real, but was empty on the inside. I didn't really understand.

It was really nice last weekend, so mom and dad took me to the Santa Monica Promenade just to walk around. It was nice to mix it up a little!

Dad has a cold, so I spent the day watching after him and keeping him company.

I prescribed a full day of napping.

Brr, it's been cold here lately. Mom and dad said it's winter, but I don't care what the reason is. I just like it warm.

But today, the sun came out! I saw it with my own eyes. (I'm trying not to get too excited, because I guess it's still winter.)
